Tyrone Farm Wedding: Amy & Brendan

Oh, how we love a good barn wedding. Especially when it involves a couple as laid back as Amy and Brendan, and a place as gorgeous as Tyrone Farm.  We loved everything about this couple’s big day, especially all of the DIY touches they incorporated. Brendan and Amy spent the year collecting vintage wood crates, unique vases and even beer growlers! It was the perfect fit with our Farmer’s Market bottle collection and Amy’s awesome neutral/rose rustic color palette.  One of our favorite parts of the day was dropping off the bouquets in the Cottage where Amy and her bridesmaids were getting ready – the peacefulness and joy of the day just radiated throughout the place. It was the perfect atmosphere for a wedding!

Congrats Amy and Brendan! Thank you, Olivia Gird Photography for capturing the flowers and the day so beautifully!

Whim Events Featured on Junebug Weddings & Offbeat Bride! Wee!

Ok – so we’ve been super behind on the blog. It’s been a CRAZY month. 5 weddings. 2 features. 168 tears of joy cried for our happy couples. You get the gist. =D

But…we couldn’t be happier to be featured  in Junebug weddings and Offbeat Bride this month!

We are so lucky to have amazing clients who love us for who we are. And we are so so blessed to work and collaborate with so many creative people every day!

Martha + Steven: Sneak Peeks! A Rustic + Earthy Wedding at the Webb Barn

When we first  met Martha to discuss wedding flowers, we instantly fell in love with her friendly, relaxed vibe and her excitement to marry Steven in the quaint town of Wethersfield, CT.  Her idea was to keep the flowers earthy and natural, with hints of blue and green Celtic elements.   We loved that Martha had already grown her own potted plant centerpieces in preparation for the big day.  And when we started discussing sprays of rosemary & lavender for additional decor, she squealed with delight! But what we really adored about Martha was her sincere happiness and her natural approach to the wedding celebration.  She was happy to leave the floral details up to Moira and Mother Nature.   So, when we delivered the flowers on her beautiful September wedding day and she cried tears of joy, that just made our hearts melt even more! Congrats to the happy couple!
