Commercial & Editorial Styling

In the midst of curating wedding details, we began getting asked to design and style commercial and editorial photo shoots for national and local brands. We found the experience to be very similar to weddings – you only get one shot to create an experience, both visually and emotionally. That is why we find so much joy in helping brands develop and bring their creative vision to life– in just one or two perfectly high-touch, fine art, emotionally driven shots. Our services include design concept development, creative direction, prop curation and sourcing, and onsite prop styling.

“Working with Natalie and Moira on a Boston Weddings editorial feature was an absolute pleasure. I reached out to them with a specific deadline and budget, and a loose concept. Their communication, inspiration, and execution over the month we worked together to produce the shoot were all above and beyond. They were both full of ideas, and ready to deliver on every aspect. This shoot in particular was really demanding in terms of vendor coordination and aesthetic acrobatics – two days of studio shooting to create four full tablescapes, each designed by a different team, centered around four distinct seasonal themes. The Whim ladies brought out the best in everyone they worked with, and put together a vision for each look that took our normal tabletop standards to the next level. I’m grateful for their talent, and would absolutely trust them with any project in the future!” –Michele Snow, Art Director, Special Projects, Boston Magazine
