It was just about this time last year when we sat down with Mara to?chat about flowers for her September nuptials. Mara and Adam were planning a small and intimate affair at the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown. We instantly related to Mara – her sense of style was simple, elegant yet practical. She explained that they wanted a wedding small enough to connect with every person there over good food and good conversation. We loved that they were focused on the most important people in their lives on their special day. ?Then we got to talking about flowers. The color scheme was purple, grey, green and white. She loved simple vintage vases, Downton Abbey and a look that didn’t appear fussy of overdone. ?And her favorite flower when we took her to the market? Deep purple clematis – which Moira made sure to use in her bouquet, the chuppah and more. ?Mara often emailed us throughout the year for our opinions on decor & vendors, which we loved because it helped us picture the whole day. And she also rented our chuppah, candles and wedding signage to add to the day. We felt very connected to her wedding and admired the ease of which she went about planning it. We loved everything from her paper by Wicked Bride Stationary to her food from Season to Taste, and the fact that they stayed true to their intent of an intimate party.?And, can we talk about how gorgeous she looked on the wedding day?! Cheers to Mara and Adam – ?to a lifetime of small and special moments!
