Its always a joy when we get to work with clients on all of their wedding elements – planning, styling and floral design – because it means we get to see the entire day come together from start to finish. We met Jenn and Joe at their home for our initial meeting, which gave us a great idea of their personal taste and cozy lifestyle. With their 2 dogs (cutest pugs ever) and cat, it was clear they adored each other and loved their happy little family. They wanted a wedding day that wasn’t too fussy or formal, had a slight bit of artistry to it (Jenn is a silversmith and Joe is a graphic designer) and had meaning and class. We almost melted when Joe said he wanted to find a venue where they could always come back to visit and celebrate future anniversaries. Enter, the?Royal Sonesta in Cambridge, one of our favorite hotels in Boston to work with, as their fabulous event manager Katie is a delight and their view?of the city is top notch. Once we found the venue, we got straight to planning and design. Using?the couples colors of persimmon and succulent?green as our guide, ?we worked with Jenn & Joe to mix those colors with hints of both copper and silver in the design. Jenn also gave us?this photo?as floral inspiration. From there, we worked with the couple and?Petersons Party Center?on the tablescape, while Joe collaborated with?Albertine Press?to create stunning paper elements.?Boston Chuppah provided a gorgeous chiffon canopy and we topped it off with simple white hydrangea for the ceremony and colorful, fun flowers for the reception. Our favorite part of the day? The way Joe looked at Jenn when walking down the aisle (so adorable) AND the fact that the dogs made an appearance during picture time! Congrats Jenn & Joe – we were thrilled to be a part of your day!
